- メン・ウィズアウト・ハッツ (Men Without Hats)はカナダのロック・バンド。
来歴
アイヴァンとステファン兄弟はアメリカ合衆国イリノイ州アーバナで生まれたが、後にモントリオールに移住した。アイヴァンはピアノ、ステファンはヴァイオリンを習い、父からは演劇とアコーディオン、母からは歌唱を教わった。1980年にジェレミー・アロバスとアイヴァン・ドロスクの2人でメン・ウィズアウト・ハッツを結成した。後に弟のステファン・ドロスクも加入し4曲収録のEP『Folk of the '80s』をリリースするが、バンドの方向性に対する意見の相違からジェレミーが脱退、替わってアラン・マッカーシーが加入した。1983年にデビュー・アルバム「Rhythm of Youth」をリリースし、シングル「Safety Dance」がビルボードヒットチャート最高位で3位を獲得した。その後はヒットに恵まれず、1991年にバンド活動を自然消滅的に停止していたが、2003年に活動を再開、北米を中心にライブ等を行なっている。
